These Terms govern your use of besttortlawyers.com, our advertising forms, and Sofia, our artificial-intelligence assistant, operated by Best Tort Lawyers ("BTL," "we," "us"). By using the site, submitting a form, or speaking or texting with Sofia, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.

1. What we are — and what we are not

Best Tort Lawyers is a free legal-matching service. We help you understand what type of claim you may have and connect you — only with your confirmation — to law firms actually taking claims like yours. We are not a law firm, not a lawyer referral service, and we do not provide legal advice. No attorney-client relationship is created by using this site, submitting a form, or speaking with Sofia. Sofia is an A.I. assistant, not a lawyer, and nothing she says is legal advice or a case evaluation.

2. Eligibility

You must be 18 or older to use our services. By submitting a form you confirm the information you provide is accurate and about your own potential claim (or one you are legally authorized to discuss).

3. Consent to be contacted

We collect two separate consents, and each one is optional and independently given. Neither is a condition of purchase or of receiving a free case review.

Case review request. By submitting a form, you ask Best Tort Lawyers to review your inquiry and agree we may contact you about it at the phone number and email you provided. Your information will not be sold, and no law firm will receive your information unless you confirm with Sofia that you want that specific firm to contact you.
Text messages — separate opt-in. You receive text messages only if you actively check the SMS consent box on our opt-in form. That box is unchecked by default; leaving it unchecked means we will not text you. By checking it, you agree to receive recurring automated text messages from Best Tort Lawyers at the number provided. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies (typically 1–3 messages per inquiry). Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Full program details are in our SMS Terms & Messaging Policy.
Calls with Sofia. Sofia calls you when you ask us to — by requesting a callback on our form or by replying to one of our text messages. If you reply to a text asking us not to call, we will not call. You may set or change your preferred callback time at any time by replying to any message.

Calls and texts with Sofia may be recorded and transcribed for quality, compliance, and follow-up. Sofia identifies herself as an A.I. on every interaction.

4. SMS program terms

Program: "Best Tort Lawyers / Sofia." Messages are sent by Best Tort Lawyers.

  • Message frequency varies — typically 1–3 messages per inquiry.
  • Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile plan.
  • Opt out any time: reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT) to any message. You'll receive one opt-out confirmation and nothing further.
  • Help: reply HELP to any message, email sofia@besttortlawyers.com, or call (602) 693-1461.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • Your mobile opt-in data is never shared with or sold to third parties — see our Privacy Policy.

5. How matching works

When you submit an inquiry, Sofia may call or text you to understand your situation. If your claim appears to match a firm in our network, Sofia will ask whether you want your information shared with that firm and to be connected. Nothing is shared until you say yes. If no participating firm takes claims like yours, we'll tell you what type of firm to look for. Participating firms are independent; their representation terms (including any contingency fee, often described as "no fee unless there is a recovery") are set solely by each firm.

6. No guarantees; not legal advice

We make no promises about the merit, value, or outcome of any potential claim, and no statement by us or Sofia is a guarantee of representation or recovery. Deadlines (statutes of limitations) apply to legal claims and vary by state and claim type — do not delay seeking counsel.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to submit false information, impersonate others, interfere with the operation of the site or Sofia, or use our services for any unlawful purpose. We may refuse or discontinue service to anyone violating these Terms.

8. Intellectual property

The site, its content, design, and the Sofia assistant are owned by or licensed to Best Tort Lawyers and protected by law. You may not copy, scrape, or reuse them without written permission.

9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The site and services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Best Tort Lawyers is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or services, or from the acts or omissions of any law firm you choose to engage. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; the effective date above reflects the current version. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
